Men's Grooming

5 grooming habits every man should adopt

Men's grooming doesn't need to be complicated to be effective. Here are five simple habits, based on basic dermatology principles, that make a real, visible difference within a few weeks.

1. Cleanse your face morning and night, not just with water

Many men just splash water on their face. The problem: water alone doesn't remove excess sebum or the impurities that build up throughout the day. A gentle cleanser, morning and night, is plenty — no need for a ten-step ritual.

2. Moisturize even if your skin is oily

This is the most common mistake: skipping moisturizer because the skin already shines. In reality, dehydrated skin often produces even more sebum to compensate. A light, non-greasy cream rebalances the situation instead of making it worse.

3. Maintain your beard, not just trim it

Underneath the beard, the skin also needs care: it can become dry and cause itching if it's never moisturized. A light beard oil, applied a few times a week, avoids this common issue and makes the hair easier to style.

4. Protect your skin from the sun, even if it's dark

Contrary to a persistent misconception, darker skin isn't immune to the long-term effects of the sun (dark spots, premature aging). Daily protection remains useful, even on cloudy days.

5. Get enough sleep

No product replaces quality sleep. It's during the night that skin repairs itself most actively: repeated lack of sleep shows directly on your complexion (dark circles, dull skin), regardless of what products you apply otherwise.
